1963 FIRST UTE SNOW CEREMONY MIRACLE IN VAIL covered by CBS Huntly Brinkley Report

Vail Associates leaders who asked Eddie Box sr (S.Ute Chairman), to help end their snow drought with a Snowdance: (L-R) George Gillette, Peter Seibert and Dick Hauserman.	S. Ute dancers (Box Family), led by Mini Cloud and Eddy Box Sr, performing first known snowdance in America that saved Vail. It opened minds and hearts about Mother Earth and created aN on-going friendship and ceremonies with four generations of the Box Family.
1995 - ROLLINGBEAR'S' (Lakota) FIRST SNOW MIRACLE IN TELLURIDE In appreciation for Telski giving Rollingbears a lift ticket and Olympian Suzy Chaffee giving him a ski lesson, he sang the 4 Directions Prayer on the Radio. The blizzard inspired Telski to give him a SEASON'S PASS, and host with NVF a "Ute Welcoming Home Ski Celebration," ,and start a (free) Ute Ski & Snowboard Program, supported by General Schwarzkopf, which spread to 70 ski areas. 	1999 (Nov) ROLLINGBEARS AND UTES CREATE A COLORADO (Snow) WEATHER SYSTEM Snowblessings after the Northern Utes led ceremonies in Steamboat with Billy Kidd and the Southern Utes at Vail, and Rollingbears in Telluride, which created a weather system that blanketed Colorado. "The temperature dropped 15 degrees during the ceremony so we could also start our snowmaking and open the next day," reported Steamboat's Billy Kidd.
2001 Utah pre-Olympic Miracle The PARK CITY PRE-OLYMPIC SNOW CEREMONY Ended their Snow Drought the Year before their 2002 Utah Olympics! It was led by Utah Tribal Elders & organized by NVF and Roseanne Abrahamson (Shoshone) a descendent of Sakajawea and sponsored by Ski Utah, Tex Hall, President of National Congress of American Indians and the (NW) Umatilla Confederacy/Wildhorse Casino .
Denver's 2003 SnowSports Expo Miracle - 15 Ft of Early Snow

15 ft of Early Snow fell on many Colorado Resorts (especially with Native Ski Programs) after Snowdance also on the Harmonic Concordance, led by Eddy & Betty Box jr (S. Ute) on right next to Olympian Billy Kidd (Abenaki), Captain of Native American Olympic Ski & Snowboard Team, who suggested ceremony. (L-R) Angie Brown Shavano (N. 2004 ASPEN POWDER SNOW MIRACLE DURING UTE GRATITUDE CEREMONY ON CLOSING WEEKEND
2004 LA SKI DAZZLE SHOW HONORS BIG BEAR MEDICINE WHEEL PARTICIPANTS For "BEST SNOW IN 150 YEARS."

Skier at the Show honored Blue Thunder (E. Shoshone Elder Bennie LeBeau), and a some of the 200 Red, White, Black & Yellow participants in the Big Bear Medicine Wheel on sacred sites in a 200 mile radius of the Big Bear Community that requested it. The ceremony restored the lakes and forest water tables, and as a bonus gave skiers the "BEST SNOW IN 150 YEARS." A highlight was Akima Castenada, NVF Board member/actor and a Chumash Father of Earth Day, dancing with Silent Thunder (Tsalagi/Grosventre) and Blackwind (Cherokee). At the end Akima led a gratitude prayer, and Snow then blanketed the whole West! (Photo: Mary Piller)
